You ask a youth hockey player about their goal, and it’s to play college and maybe, someday, pro hockey. To play college hockey, it takes an average of 10 years of skating experience and a great deal of hard work. Many don’t make it.The Northwestern hockey players took the same road, and their hard work has been clearly evident.
We recognize the opportunity that lies with the relationship between the NorthwesternUniversity and the local hockey talent.Consider the development of a University Hockey program that would compliment the rich tradition of the NorthwesternUniversity.
One of our goals for the Club is to be actively involved in area youth hockey programs through clinics. These clinics help build a strong future foundation. But, with these goals come expenses, and the Club is a not-for-profit organization primarily driven by volunteer efforts of parents and students, and expenses include:
Coaches
Travel/ Bus transportation for Away games
Uniforms and Equipment
Rental of ice
Officials
These expenses are covered partially by the university and players, and the remainder through private and/or corporate donations, and team merchandise.
We need your financial support and sincerely ask for a generous contribution towards continuing to grow the success of the Club. With your help, we can see our goals through fruition.Your support will also eliminate the need to burden players with higher fees each season.Your contribution entitles you to Club membership, which includes a Club newsletter, advertising on our sponsorship web page.
Please complete the attached form and mail your tax-deductible gift today.Your gift not only brings assurance for the Club’s goals today, but hope to the youth skaters now who are working so hard to reach their goals.
